Nine as an employer

What we offer to our employees

Workplace: We offer a tailored mix of home or remote office and on-site work in the office. There are many choices in terms of your work equipment, and you’ll find height-adjustable work stations at the office. We also offer financial support to set up your home office work station. And last but no least, our office is in a central location in Kreis 4 in Zurich.

Working time: At Nine, you’ve got flexible working hours, a 40-hour working week with an annual working time model. There are 5 weeks of holiday per year, with the option of a sabbatical. We reward your loyalty and offer a one-time gift of 2 weeks of holiday after 5 years of service. Furthermore, you’ll get 2 weeks of paid leave at the birth of your baby.

Personal growth: We believe in continuous development. That’s why we encourage internal coaching and brown bag sessions, participation in conferences and professional events or further training.

Collaboration: We believe in working according to agile methods, with regular joint reviews. We offer a cosy cafeteria with free barista coffee, drinks, fresh fruit and other snacks. There’s a monthly Nine meeting followed by a team lunch and regular after work drinks and team events.
Recruiting process

How to become a 9er

First interview: Our first interview is a video call which usually lasts about 45 to 60 minutes. In this structured interview, we will ask you about a few topics that are essential to us. The structured interview is tailored to the individual position and helps us find out whether you meet the pre-defined requirements for the role from a professional but also personal point of view. However, there will also be enough time for you to ask questions and find out whether the role matches your needs.

Workshop: The second interview takes place in our office whenever possible. In preparation for the interview, you will be given a specific task beforehand. This will give you insight into the topics and tasks of your potential new role. During the on-site workshop, you will be able to present your proposed solution to the task, and exchange ideas with several people from the team. Again, it’s all about getting to know each other, so the team members will be happy to answer any questions you might have for them as well.

Final interview: Ideally, we already have an offer ready for you at this stage, and we will use this conversation to plan your future as a 9er together.
