Efficient monitoring thanks to NKE and managed services

We supported healthinal with the implementation of a new monitoring system based on Managed Kubernetes. healthinal was even able to work independently with the documentation at docs.nine.ch, do things on their own according to instructions and otherwise contact our support team. The customer particularly appreciated this support from our experts: they received professional and quick feedback on support requests and the people involved always had the feeling that they were actually making progress after reporting an issue.

The Challenge

As an existing customer, healthinal utilised one of our new products – the Nine Kubernetes Engine (NKE) – when setting up the monitoring system and used it for the first time. Meanwhile, it has also been used for other projects. The existing monitoring infrastructure, which previously ran on Managed Virtual Servers, was operated by healthinal itself. This involved a great deal of effort, especially concerning the company’s own growth. A valid alternative was therefore needed, with actively managed systems, backups and maintenance. Swiss servers were a must in terms of legal data security and quality. We were also able to offer the customer additional managed services, such as Prometheus and Loki.

The Solution

healthinal used our own documentation at docs.nine.ch for the implementation. This allowed them to complete many steps themselves and if something didn’t work or additional features were required, healthinal contacted our support team. Our support was available around the clock, helped with more complex queries and endeavoured to solve all problems for good, not just as a quick fix. The «Managed» part also helped healthinal to relieve the burden on its own staff while being able to rely on our experts. healthinal also helped us to further develop our NKE product, eliminate stumbling blocks and make our Managed Kubernetes offering even better – a win-win situation for everyone involved.

The Result

The end result is more than satisfactory for healthinal and offers immense advantages over the previous solution, such as being able to monitor its own end devices and respond proactively to problems with its customers – without any error messages coming from customers. This furthermore reduces the managed service effort at healthinal, which is also greatly appreciated.
