Directly connected to the backbone
Bring your server to us and connect it directly to our multiple redundant network. With a total capacity of several gigabits per second and short routes to all Swiss providers, your server will have an excellent connection to the Internet. Read more about our network in Infrastructure.
State-of-the-art data center
Emergency power supply with a diesel generator and UPS, a gas-based fire extinguishing system, video surveillance and strict access control - everything that is required. The page infrastructure contains additional information regarding the data center.
Offsite backup
Nine operates servers at an independent second location, which are used for the monitoring of the network and for data backup. The data centers are connected via a optical fibre ring. This ensures both the fastest possible as well as a secure connection. With the backup option you can securely transfer your data from the Server Housing to a secondary location and recover the data in the quickest time possible if a problem occurs.
Access 24/7
Optional you will have access to your Server Housing around the clock, seven days a week. Alternatively, you can obtain a temporary access during office hours.
Remote reboot
With the remote reboot option you can trigger a cold start of your server without having to be physically present at the site. This can for instance be useful when installing a new kernel. Simply instruct the boot loader to use the new kernel only during the next restart. If your machine freezes during a restart due to a kernel panic, you can bring the server back to life with a cold start.
