Emails are held on our standard email infrastructure, not on your Managed Server. Therefore no additional space are performance is needed for incoming emails.

Receiving and sending emails
You can retrieve emails via POP and IMAP or through webmailer. All connections can be accessed secured. For sending emails, Nine provides a worldwide accessible SMTP infrastructure with authentification. A smooth mobile usage can also be guaranteed. The SMTP server also supports submission which is important for Swisscom clients, as for them the normal SMTP port is blocked. More technical information is available on Email infrastructure.
Email Control Panel
Email accounts and settings can be easily configured in our control panel. Email forward, auto response, white listing as well as SPAM and mail filters can be adjusted. Some screenshots of our control panel:

- Email reseller allows you to implement your own logo and text in the control panel and email space is calculated by actual space used, not allocated quota.
- Use the SMTP relay server to send emails out of the network of Nine. Activation and cost per IP address. Only for Dedicated Servers.
- Mailscan relay with greylisting, RBLs, virus scanner (clamav) and Spamassassin. If you use an Exchange Server and want to use Spamscanning, mails are operated by Nine and then will be delivered to the customer. Domain alias/domain pointings are inluded.
- SMTP server for clients who want to use a local newsletter software and not send the emails within the Nine network.
